Church History - Perry Thatcher

 

To kick off the unofficial start to summer this Memorial Day weekend, a pie eating contest at First Baptist Church Founders Day picnic, 1954. Front left is Middletonian Perry Thatcher. Perry Thatcher was a long standing member here at FBC.  Perry was on the Board of Deacons for 10 years and on the Board of Christian Education for 4 years. Also a total of 14 years on the Board of Trustees.  Later he became involved in Middletown politics.  in 2001 he was elected to be on the Middletown City Council.
