FBC Pastors - Rev. Franklin A. Stiles

Rev. Franklin A. Stiles served as pastor here at FBC from 1921-1939. On his first Sunday as Pastor, March 1921, Reverend Frank A. Stiles started the Men’s Stiles Bible Class with 12 young men in attendance.  By 1928 the class had grown to over 235 members which included Baptist men as well as men from Middletown and surrounding communities.  Because of declining membership, the class finally decided to dissolve in 1993 after 72 years.

On a side note, I was at our local cemetery visiting a grave of one of our members who recently passed.  I came across Rev. Stiles gravesite.  It was strange, like I walked right up to it.
